Just say NO to carrots

Today Grandpa and I had our little baby B all day! I can't believe my camera is broken, well only somewhat broken, it took the pictures, but won't upload them to the computer... humm. We went to the park and had the best time. Today's favorite toy was a bunch of straws. We would blow threw them and laugh. Put them together and make really long snakes. Drum with them and even use them for swords.

Today's most un favorite carrots!! No way no how. Mommy said B had them just two nights ago and loved them. Well let me tell you that was two nights ago and things have changed. I am just so very thankful they are not in the strained fashion and are cubed. He threw them, he dumped them, and he spit them. So as any good Grandma would do, I told him he didn't have to have eat them.

After a messy dinner we played in the bath water. Never in my life, and I have raised children, been a Nanny for children, and watched many other children in my many years, never, ever have I seen a child who could get a bathroom wet like this one! For a 10 month old he splashes like a pit bull found a cat under the water!

BABY BUMP!!

Easter Sunday what a feast! I am so grateful for my family. We love each other and enjoy being together too.  I love that my children though grown and married live right here with in 15 min. from us and we can celebrate holidays like Easter together.

As our daughter in law was walking toward the chairs my daughter yelled "BABY BUMP - I SEE IT!!"  Oh yes there sure was too! We are finally seeing real signs of that first grandbaby.  I think for mothers day I am going to buy her a couple of maternity tops.

I am still just beside my self. I contain it when the kids are around so I don't drive them crazy But the Granddaddy and I secretively are going nuts!! We have all kinds of plans for our little cookies. Oh we have plans for trips, and all kinds of memory making ideas!

Oh little Macaroon Grandmommy  already loves you so much!

Boy? Girl?

I bought some really cute onsies for the baby Saturday! One says I'm New Around Here!  Ha, love it. I also bought socks. Lets see if I picked the right kind....

Sunday we had a wonderful time having everyone over. I cooked a huge meal and we ate until we could no more! I was hoping Kevin and Lauren would have news for us. BOY? GIRL? BOY? GIRL? I am just about to bust!!! Lauren had been to the Dr. but the did not have another ultra sound yet. : ( boooo. Her tummy is starting to form. Bless her heart she still gets sick at different times through out the day. I think she may be one who has to deal with this the whole 9 month. Ug!

Growing Tummy

We were all together this weekend. So nice we get together so often to eat and play games. This time was to watch the basketball tournemant in March Madness. Lauren hand her hand just inside the top of her waist band. I asked her if her pants were feeling tight and hse said yes. I think for mothers day I will buy her some matrnity tops. She is so pretty and a funny girl, we are so blessed to have her.

This picture was taken a while back (and thankfully I have lost about 20 lbs since then) Lauren took me to Lunch and for a manicure. What a fun day!

Pretty Baby - Ultra Sound

Oringinal post March 5, 2011

We saw the usltra sound! Beautiful, looks like a fully formed baby in the womb of our sweet daughter in law.  We were all so suprised that at only a few weeks we were able to see such a full pickture and not more of a blob form. I am going to ask that we borrow the pictures to we can scan them and I can post them on here.

Oh it's Just the Best News!

Original Post Febuary 13, 2011

The most exciting news ever....we are going to be grandparents for the very first time! We found out a couple of days ago and we could not be any happier or excited. My son and his wife were just beaming when they told us. They are going to be wonderful parents. I jumped off the couch as if it were on fire! I have no clue when I have last moved like that. I couldn’t stop clapping and stopping my feet. The squeals that came out of me…. there may have been dogs howling for miles.  sorry ; )  Wonder how many eyes will glaze over, over the next few months listening to me tell them. Then as if that weren’t bad enough when our little blessing gets here I have even better stories and pictures too!
I’m simply beside myself with anticipation of holding our little blessing, and I certainly must verify he or she does have all ten fingers and ten toes. I get the privilege of spoiling our little blessing rotten, keeping him or her dressed in the cutest clothes, and not having the responsibilities that go with being the actual parent.
While I may have suddenly been ushered into the world of “old” people, I want my grandchildren to know Grandma’s are also very “COOL”.  I won’t be wearing house dresses and have my hair up in a bun. Yes, I will do regular Grandma things we will bake cookies and all that. I will keep the tradition my kids had with their Grandma and always have a back to school slumber party! Oh the fun things we will do.  But most of all our little blessing will learn about our Lord and how He gave us our blessing.

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
